Pelargonium
Pelargoniums, commonly known as geraniums, are known all over the world for their unmatched market importance, huge flower heads, excellent drought tolerance and performance under a wide variety of climates.
Originating from South Africa, they are cultivated for centuries and continuously gained importance. Syngenta is the undisputed world leader in innovation and developed the first Xanthomonas-free geraniums in the 1960s. Syngenta recently introduced the completely new series Caliente and Calliope, which will redefine geraniums as a crop based on their excellent plant habit and outdoor performance, break-through dark red color and tremendous consumer appeal.
